Staff

Add or remove people, change their role, %, which shift types they can work, and their carried balance. Roles: boss (off-floor), supervisor, floor. A floor person is scheduled automatically — unless you fill in their Pattern, in which case that fixed pattern is copied and repeated (add the word 'fill' to the pattern to also auto-schedule their remaining days, e.g. weekends fixed, weekdays filled). In Pattern, the number is the day of the fortnight: 1=Mon, 2=Tue … 7=Sun, 8=next Mon … 14=next Sun; it repeats every 14 days. The 11th–10th window only affects the balance, not the pattern. Wknd = the fortnight weekend-days a person works, e.g. 6,7 (Sat+Sun of week 1) or 13,14 (week 2); leave blank to auto-alternate.

The timetable starts on the Monday of the “from” week and shows enough weeks to cover “to”.

Shift lengths

Change start/end times if shift lengths change. For Day and Evening you can list alternatives separated by commas — the first is the default the generator uses; the others become options you can switch to on any cell of the timetable.

Coverage — people needed per shift, per day

Set a different number on specific days (e.g. 5 on evenings for Friday and Tuesday). Night is always 1.

Red days (local public holidays) — comma-separated dates, e.g. 2026-12-25, 2026-12-26. On these, a day shift counts at the red-day ×; evening/night already 1.05/1.20.

Structural rules

All checks pass — coverage met, night person present every day, one 7am opener per weekday, no one scheduled during time off.
